Hello, my name is Erwin Santacruz.
I am a Motion Designer and Visual Effects artist based in South Florida.

Before animating pixels and learning about NSTreeControllers, Erwin was heavily involved in the flatland BMX scene. He competed for many years winning numerous competitions throughout the state of Florida and was named Florida State Expert Champion in his age division. Erwin still rides on and off these days in order to hold on to the glory years but now mainly admires it from the sidelines. He did manage to learn stick-b's to upside down megaspins.

During the later years, Erwin was part of the hardcore music scene and was vocals for local Miami hardcore band Mindframe. Mindframe headlined and opened for many acts including New York favorites Vision and the Cro-Mags. Mindframe recorded and released a demo in 1991 entitled "Time Out of Mind". Mindframe returned to the studio to record new tracks but never released the material. There are a few masters of those recordings in the wild.

Erwin holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Animation and a Masters degree in Computer Science. At one point in time, Erwin wanted to be a doctor. He has two cats, Pancake and Waffle. Pancake always eats Waffle's food. He enjoys good coffee and never gets tired of watching The Twilight Zone, Three's Company, or I Love Lucy reruns on TV despite owning the DVD collections.
